About

We believe that African women are deserving of pleasure and ease and that if they should labour, then it should be for their joy. There is no purpose in living if it is in constant anticipation of freedom that will be experienced in our absence. Our bodies, right here, at this moment deserve healing. And whilst an ‘afterlife’ of peace sounds enticing and comforting, a ‘thislife’ of satisfaction is imperative. As such, we are creating spaces for African women to heal, expand and cultivate joy.

Through a lovingly curated online repository of wellness tools, virtual workshops and in-person experiences, we intend to contribute to the continental movement of a life worth living.

Mission

“contextualising wellness to African women's realities.”

We want to contextualise wellness to African women's realities by tailoring health initiatives to specifically address the unique cultural, social, and economic factors that impact their well-being. Our approach aims to promote holistic health solutions that resonate with African women's lived experiences, ensuring more inclusive and effective health outcomes within their communities.

Vision

“a reality where African women's experiences are synonymous with love, care and community.”

Our ultimate goal is to uplift the quality of life for African women, envisioning a world where their well-being is prioritised and they no longer endure suffering to receive the care they deserve.

Values

Intention

"do nothing without intention"
Every single action we take should be backed by our intention to make our vision a reality.

Community

We prioritise community in everything we do, recognising the personal nature of our work as a foundation for collective experiences, and emphasising the building of caring communities as integral to our mission.

Care

Our work is done with the utmost care for the people we serve. Nothing is done at the expense of our wellness and to the detriment of our community.
